We finally get a short reprieve from the heat and perfect weather for a weekend full of big events. Both of the major events this weekend are close to my heart.
First, on Friday night, the last in the Summer Concert Series for Lebanon, Kentucky is sure to be the biggest of them all when none other than Hooker takes the stage! These guys have been rocking the local area for years, but they will be playing some never before heard new songs that will be on their upcoming album. It’s sure to be epic. Cromer will be the opening act and the music starts at 7:00 p.m. Our favorites Backroad Burger Co. and Good Buddies Brewing Co. will be set up so make sure you stop by and purchase some delicious food and local craft beer.
Second, on Sunday, Howardstown Homecoming takes over the grounds at St. Ann’s Church for its annual homecoming picnic. Visitors from all around come to see old friends and enjoy a day full of fun. Well known for its famous Cake Booth, Silent Auction, Main Raffle, Jarco Booth, Kids games and the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had, you don’t want to miss it! The money raised goes to support the St. Ann’s School. Mass begins at 1:00 p.m. and the picnic starts at 2:00 p.m.
