🎶 Supporting Live Local Music in the Heart of Kentucky

Following My Heart: Sharing My Love of Live Music in Kentucky and Beyond

I’ve always loved how music brings people together — how a familiar song can turn a regular night into a memory. That love inspired me to start Music Wanderlust, where I have started sharing my adventures discovering local talent and unique venues across Kentucky and beyond. There’s nothing like live music in Kentucky.

The Magic of Local Music Nights

There’s just something about live music that fills my soul. The strum of a guitar, a familiar voice singing under twinkle lights, friends laughing over a good drink — it all comes together to create those unforgettable small-town nights I love so much.

In Bardstown, Lebanon, Bloomfield, Campbellsville, and New Haven and other towns across the heart of Kentucky, we’re lucky to have a growing number of musicians and venues keeping live music alive and well. You’ll find talented artists playing their hearts out in our bars, wineries, distilleries, and restaurants — and every time we show up to listen, we help keep that creative spirit going strong.

🎵 The Heartbeat of Small-Town Kentucky

I’ve spent a lot of nights discovering just how much musical talent lives right here in our region. Every venue has its own magic — maybe it’s the laughter, the clinking of glasses, or that moment when the whole crowd sings along. That’s what makes our Central Kentucky music scene so special.

💛 Why It Matters to Show Up

Supporting local live music does so much more than fill your Friday night plans.

When you go out to see a show, you’re helping musicians continue to share their art. You’re showing local businesses that live entertainment matters. You’re investing in the cultural heartbeat of our small towns.

Most local musicians balance day jobs, long drives, and a whole lot of passion. They play because they love connecting with people. When you clap, sing along, tip, or share their posts — it really does mean the world to them.

🎤 How You Can Keep the Music Alive

  • Go to local shows — even if it’s just for a bit! Your presence matters.
  • Follow and share local artists and venues on Facebook or Instagram.
  • Tag musicians when you post photos or videos from their shows.
  • Buy a drink, meal, or merch — it directly supports the venues and performers.
  • Bring your friends — because live music is always better together.
